Brand refresh & activation

ICUC, a social media management platform, had just revamped their messaging and was in desire of a visual facelift and a way to streamline the creation of visual assets for marketing. Working closely with Liam, head of marketing, we workshopped to uncover ICUC’s story and what made them unique amongst the competition.,

After a thorough brand and competitive audit it was clear that we needed to work on a few things:

  • Creating an emotional connection with the social media customers

  • Developing a brand personality to build brand recognition

  • Bringing a more human presence to an overall cold category

As Senior Design Lead, I led the creative vision across brand development and launch execution.

 
 

The process included:

  • Brand Discovery: Conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops to align on the organization’s mission and key differentiators

  • Identity Development: Creating a system for logo usage, developing a scalable design solution with competitive color palette, typographic hierarchy, photography style and usage, and graphic elements

  • Marketing Enablement: Developing an editorial-style brand guide to inform messaging, photography, and design aesthetics

 

Activating the brand

To get the new brand launched quickly, I developed a new website style sheet for their team to implement while I worked on developing assets for the first campaign:

  • Infographic & Thumbnail

  • Landing page

  • Social imagery

  • Display Ads

  • Tiktok Ads

 

The results

After the completion of the brand guide, ICUC’s internal marketing team was able to create and launch their first campaign in record time (3 weeks!).
